ALPHA OMEGA ARTSBy TAHLIB
A Twitter-friend, and respected artist tweeted to me: "Enjoying your tweets... getting tired of the "Adam & Eve" Botero. ... Botero is a very dangerous man in my view." I am glad I decided to check his work out myself. On March 19, A&O travels to the Toledo Museum of Art to view a traveling exhibition, The Baroque World of Fernando Botero, including the current Alpha Omega Arts icon of "Adam & Eve," because it feels right to give Botero's "dangerous" side a look for myself. The two videos in this post are from his "Abu Ghraib" series. The video above is a tour of the artworks and below is conversation with the artist at UC Berkley. so, far he doesn't seem anywhere close to as dangerous as say... that radical the Roman's crucified: Jesus Christ.
