HINDUS, MUSLIMS & CHRISTIANS in India united to stop their local government's destruction of religious shrines and they won, if only temporarily. Last Sunday's Los Angeles Times touted visiting the "amazing" shrines and temples in India, while at the same time in one Indian city, the local government was tearing them down. They issued notices to over 700 "illegal" religious structures and demolished over 55, including temples, mosque and crosses, and in the process united diverse faiths in a way never experienced before. This past Friday, the state "stayed" further destruction of the shrines until further review.
